The Morningside Muckraker was an independent, student-run publication that strived to strengthen the Columbia Law School community by starting thoughtful, critical conversation, providing a forum for open communication, and supporting creative expression.
We hoped students, faculty, administration, and alumni would come to The Muckraker to reflect on law school experiences, offer opinion, and engage in dialogue about CLS, law school, and the law. They did. And then students and faculty from other law schools began reading as well. Writing from the Muckraker has been taught in classes at CLS and in workshops at the NYS Bar Association, and has been cited in law review articles by faculty from other law schools as well as in popular publications.
Last but not least, you will find fiction, poetry, photography, and art in our literary supplement, The Morningside Monocle.
